The European Product Design Award has just revealed the winners for 2025 and BYBROWN is proud to announce its Moxie rainskirt has been selected as a Top Design in the category of Automotive and Transport Design (Urban Mobility).

The Moxie is a unisex rain skirt, engineered specifically for the urban cyclist. It combines practical function with fearless style, transforming seamlessly from skirt to trousers with a clever, packable design.

BYBROWN is honoured by the jury’s recognition, which affirms the Moxie rainskirt’s distinctive design language and functional innovation.

The Moxie is a waterproof skirt that is engineered for urban cycling. This packable rainwear unzips down the middle and snaps around the legs, transforming into trousers that keep your legs dry and protected on any bicycle. The Moxie is made from a bluesign®️-approved, 100% recycled mono-polyester 3-layer technical fabric. Its fully European production (including the material) ensures that skirt is ethical, sustainable and transparent. The material is breathable, waterproof, and circular, designed for performance with minimal environmental impact.The result is high-performance rainwear with a reduced environmental footprint, created for everyday mobility in the city.

The European Product Design Award (EPDA),The European Product Design Award (EPDA) is a respected international award that offers significant global exposure and validation for innovative products, positioning itself as a key platform for recognizing design excellence, especially for those improving daily life, run by the reputable Farmani Group since 2016. 

The program celebrates designers who create smart, functional solutions that combine aesthetics, usability, and impact. It is open to professionals, design teams, and students (emerging designers) from all over the world, not just Europe. The award covers over 800 categories, including consumer electronics, furniture, sustainable/eco-design, packaging, and automotive design. Entries are evaluated by a professional jury based on innovation, functionality, utility, aesthetics, emotional quotient, and the reality of production This year marks an exciting evolution of the program, with the introduction of five new award categories alongside our most distinguished honors. In addition to Product of the Year, Design for Humanity, Innovation of the Year, and Emerging Product Designer of the Year, The European Product Design Award also presents the inaugural awards for Best Furniture Design, Best Eco Design, Best Consumer Design, Best Packaging Design, and Best in Communication. Together, these awards celebrate outstanding creativity, innovation, and impact across the global design community.

Previous awards won by Melanie Brown include the Dutch haute couture prize, ‘The Frans Molenaar Prijs’ and the International A Design Award in which the Agile Raindress won a silver award in the category Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design.The A Fashion Award offers global recognition, inspiring new trends and pushing the boundaries of fashion design.
Brown has also been selected for numerous international projects including the The Next Green Talent by Vogue Italia and YOOX which was dedicated to talents who focus on sustainability. The platform stands as a reference for responsible fashion consumers around the globe.
