BYBROWN Spring Summer 2015 Amsterdam | VODAFONE Firsts Fashion LAB
It was an utterly feminine affair. Models strutted in soft pastels interspersed by coloured details - pure femininity at the forefront of Browns’ mind. Melanie Brown is a name that might not resonate as quickly as some of those among the Amsterdam Fashion Week line-up, but it is one that should.
Brown earned her stripes at Stills before launching her own label Brown Clothes. In 2014, years later, she changed her name to BYBROWN and now the London based designer Melanie Brown is set to make her comeback during Mercedez-Benz Fashionweek Amsterdam.
A burst of elegant knee-length draped dresses in crispy white and beige details, later turned towards sandy looks with colourful details - like the turquoise jacket-bag, caramel jackets, and soft yellow basics. Pastels made room for more and more colour and the shoulders got bigger and more pronounced as the collection continued. Subsequently, a khaki pallet occurs, with elegant yet sophisticated trousers and pencil skirts. The models hair was pulled back into a glossy smooth wet-look which gave the models a ultra-modern finish. Not a hair was out of place in the sleek, straight styles swept back from the hairline and worn poker-straight down the models’ back.
